Playing Angry Birds on a mobile phone only goes so far. For a really immersive experience, you’ll need a life-sized version. And that’s exactly what the game’s creator Rovio built for its latest stunt.
We’ve seen the amazingly popular multi-platform game Angry Birds invade many aspects of everyday life — in the form of a birthday cake, plush toys and even a fake movie — but this real-life reenactment of the game is the largest yet.
Created to promote Deutsche Telekom’s new services, the giant version of the game was set up and filmed at Plaça Nova de Terrassa in Spain. The game is not entirely functional, but we do get to see the pigs and their barricades destroyed in a spectacular fashion, while a street band plays a jazzy version of the game’s theme song. We can only wonder what’s next for the angry feathered creatures, whose popularity just doesn’t seem to fade
